Dust removal solution for coating process in pharmaceutical workshop

Dust removal solution for coating process in pharmaceutical workshop

Customer background

The client is a pharmaceutical group, a major generic drug supplier in China and a professional antibiotic powder injection production base in China. All the company’s production workshops have passed GMP certification. While focusing on product quality, it also regards caring for employee health and safety and environmental protection as important tasks.

The problem we are facing now is that when tablets are coated in clean rooms, the pharmaceutical auxiliary material talcum powder easily escapes into the air to form dust, which will bring many adverse effects. Therefore, we need to provide efficient and safe dust solutions for the coating production line.

Situation description

  1. The necessity of dust removal in pharmaceutical factories: Talc powder has good medicinal effects and functions as a pharmaceutical auxiliary material. However, if it is dispersed in the air, it will form talc dust, and long-term inhalation of workers will cause talc pneumoconiosis.

  1. Dust removal needs to be operated efficiently for a long time: Compared with other industrial dust, the dust in the clean workshop of pharmaceutical factories has smaller particle size, finer powder, and stays in the air for a longer time. In order to achieve the purpose of dust removal, a dust collector is required to capture dust at the dust generation point to achieve long-term and efficient work.

  1. There are requirements for filtration precision and efficiency: pharmaceutical dust has a certain degree of wettability and viscosity, and the use of ordinary filter materials can easily block the filter cartridge. This results in frequent replacement of consumables and increases costs.
